 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor, and activist. She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and started her career shortly after her move from Israel to the United States as a child actor. In AT&T commercials on television she played the character of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in the year 2020. She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub has also voiced Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was chosen to voice Squirrel Girl in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub is an Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and a Jew. At the age of two her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to financial hardships within her family, she began performing in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit in her sophomore year. She she was able to get a GED and then went on to earn an Associate of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
