Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23 November 1992, is an American artist, singer, and actress. Her unique voice is renowned for her influences in music which include country, pop, hip hop, experimental music, rock, and more. Cyrus has scored the highest US Billboard 200 top-five albums in the 21st century , by an artist of female origin, with thirteen albums. Cyrus's personal life, public images and performances have often sparked controversy and garnered extensive media coverage. Cyrus is daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus country music performer, made her a star when she was a teenager, playing the title character on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006-2011). As Hannah Montana, she attained three top-five songs in the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's own discography includes the US number one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008), and Bangerz (2013) as well as the top five releases include Can't Get Tamed (2010) Younger Now (2017), Plastic Hearts (2020) and the free album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz (2015). The top five also featured Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (1999). Plastic Hearts became Cyrus's most well-known album and her debut onto the Billboard Rock Chart, debuting atop the chart. It featured the lead single, "Midnight Sky". Other singles released by her include "See You Again", the US number-one "7 Things" and "Party in America." "Party in America" is her other chart-topping top ten single. "Party in America" includes "Can't Be Tame", We Can't Stop", Malibu, and "Without You". "Party in the U.S.A." was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Cyrus's career highlights include appearances in the Time 100 list in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award and inclusion on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists Chart in 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus is an actress and has appeared in Bolt (2008) as in the feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009 and 2010). Cyrus was an instructor on The Voice for two seasons and starred in "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. She began her vegan lifestyle in 2014. In 2014, she launched the Happy Hippie Foundation which focuses on youth homeless and the LGBT community.
