She was the lead character Kathleen Le Saux in 1996's episode of the period drama show "Bramwell". She worked with Terry Johnson on four productions that included Elton John's Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000) and Piano/Forte (2006). Johnson wrote Piano/Forte and said that Kelly was "possibly the most natural, dyed-in-the-wool, deep-in-the-bone actress I've worked with". Reilly said that Karel Reisz was the person who taught her how to act best. He directed her in The Yalta Game, Dublin 2001. She added, "He was my masterclass."
